The Monologue a pure blend of illusion with reality by Suresh George. The movie is all about exploring an illusive state of mind inside a thriving young man who bleeds inside each second to make it big as an actor someday, with hopes as strings attached.
Suresh George’s screenplay is the key factor and Raaghav Ranganathan performance is the life of this film, he is an incredible actor.
Ranjan Kumarasingam, is an arrogant Tamil refugee from the war-torn island of Sri Lanka who lands on the Indian sub-continent shores of Rameswaram and is insulted and humiliated by the border security force officers, mistaken to be a probable person from a terror outfit, with a mission of revenge and hatred.
During the interrogation, we get the hints of reality playing hand in hand with illusion and soon we discover that the whole episode of Ranjan’s monologue with the BSF personnel are purely imaginary and self-conceived. Then, who really is Ranjan Kumarasingam? What is his mission? And what’s so confusing about his behaviour?
